Circle of Life Hospice serving Northwest Arkansas
Circle of Life is focused exclusively on providing compassionate end-of-life care and bereavement support to the communities of Carroll, Madison, Benton, and Washington counties. We care for patients in their own homes, at nursing and assisted living facilities, and at our free-standing inpatient hospice homes. When the focus shifts from curative treatment to comfort care, Circle of Life Hospice is here for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
We hope you find this site useful and informative. Our goal is to provide you with as much information as possible to help you and your family make a choice about hospice care. We encourage you to share your wishes with family members and your physician.
We are here for you.
Hospice is a special kind of care designed for someone with a life-limiting terminal illness. The focus of hospice care is to provide pain and symptom management and emotional and spiritual support so that each patient can maintain their dignity and spend their days in comfort. Hospice provides sensitive support for the patient's family as well. An important part of hospice is that patients and families decide what care is right for them.
Live Fully
The goal of Circle of Life is to maximize support so patients can live as fully as possible, for whatever time remains. When diligent attention is given to symptoms, even the small aggravating ones, a patient can expect to feel good enough to enjoy some part of every day. The primary services provided by hospice are:
- Treatment related to the life-limiting illness that is included in the hospice plan of care, plus medical equipment and supplies, services, and coordination of care
- Medications to control the pain and other symptoms of the life-limiting illness
- Hospice inpatient care (both acute care and respite care) in a hospice facility or hospital
- Home visits by hospice staff, plus skilled in-home nursing for crisis management
- Consulting physicians
- Home health aid
- Volunteer support
- Bereavement follow-up
Circle of Life Service Area
Circle of Life Hospice serves any person and family who lives in Benton, Carroll, Madison and Washington counties and is within a 50-mile radius of 901 Jones Road who:
- is no longer undergoing curative treatment.
- has a limited life expectancy.
- has an identified caregiver willing to work with the hospice team.
- has a physician who has agreed to hospice care.
Hospice is a choice, not a requirement. The patient may choose to withdraw from the hospice plan of care at any time to seek other medical treatments that may become available.
Financial Coverage
We provide care to those who meet admission criteria regardless of their ability to pay. Hospice is a free benefit under Medicare Part A and Medicaid. Some private insurance plans also cover hospice care. Your Hospice Social Worker can help you in determining a pay source or if you qualify for our patient assistance program, which is available through the generous support of donations and grants from the community. If you would like to contribute, please visit our donations page.
